IFRC and Spark Collaboration named a finalist in the International category at the inaugural North American Employee Engagement Awards

New York – May 7, 2015 – IFRC has been shortlisted in the International category for The Employee Engagement Awards as a result of their work with Spark Collaboration. The awards, in their first year, officially recognize businesses that strive to do things differently and put their workforce at the heart of its operation.

Shaun Hazeldine, Senior Officer of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, said: “I am thrilled to hear we were shortlisted for the awards. Thanks to Spark Collaboration for all their work on this, the nomination is a real acknowledgement of their innovation and drive.” Michael Soto, co-founder of Spark Collaboration, added, “Being shortlisted for the Employee Engagement Awards serves to recognize the concerted effort it takes for an organization with the size and scope of the Red Cross to continually inspire, engage and empower people globally.”

Jamie Lawrence, editor of online HR publication HRZone.com, who co-produce the awards, said: “Our shortlist is defined by a common trait: commitment and drive towards creating an environment that is employee-centric and which focuses on improving the experience for everyone who comes into contact with the organization.”

He added: “We are delighted to showcase the work of these companies and look forward to celebrating with them in June.”

Winners will be selected by an exclusive panel of judges and announced on June 17th, 2015 following a world class conference held during the day, at the Tribeca Rooftop with breathtaking views of Manhattan on a summer evening.

The day-long conference will share the insights, strategies and tools from inspiring leaders and remarkable peers, deliver best practice advice and bring together a community of employee engagement professionals that wish to learn more and share their experiences, driving the engagement agenda forward.
